OEM grade catalytic converters are a closer to OEM spec catalyst loading as opposed to the lighter loading HM grade economy version. Both are EPA certified with the higher PGM loaded OEM grade providing a greater emissions reduction capacity and longevity vis a vis the higher concentration of noble metals on the ceramic substrate. For even greater emissions reduction capacity specifically formulated for fleet , severe duty, high GVW trucks and cars, use HD grade catalytic converters.
